A long-running underground institution from Arf Cartoons, Smut (1989–2007) was a defiant, anything-goes anthology of transgressive humor and raw, unpolished cartooning. Over 153 issues, the series became a vital outlet for outsider voices, most notably the chaotic, boundary-pushing work of editor and frequent contributor Peter Bagge, whose tenure helped define the title's scrappy, irreverent spirit.
