Sledgehammer 44: Lightning War

Set during World War II, Sledgehammer 44: Lightning War is a three-issue miniseries from Dark Horse that expands Mike Mignola and John Arcudi's supernatural corner of the conflict. Written by Arcudi and Mignola with art by Laurence Campbell, it follows the armored secret weapon known as Sledgehammer 44 as he is deployed against occult threats on the European front. This series deepens the lore of the Hellboy universe by exploring the origins and missions of a mysterious, steam-powered soldier.
