Sky Ape

From 1997 onward, Philip Amara and Timothy McCarney scripted the short-lived Slave Labor series Sky Ape, with Richard Jenkins providing the art across its four issues. The comic follows a unique premise, blending offbeat humor with a distinctly indie sensibility. Though brief, the series stands as a cult oddity of the late-1990s small-press scene, remembered for its quirky tone and the creative team's tight collaboration.
