About the series
From 1977 to 1980, the Swedish publisher Hemmets Journal released Skrattoteket, an 11-issue comic series that collected classic newspaper strips and gag cartoons—a laughter library for readers. The series is best remembered as a showcase for the work of legendary Swedish cartoonist Jan Lööf, whose whimsical, detailed strips were featured prominently. It offered a curated, nostalgic look at the humor of earlier decades, preserving the charm of mid-century cartooning for a new generation.
