In 2000, Big Balloon launched Sjors & Sjimmie speciale editie, a series of five standalone comic albums revisiting the classic Dutch newspaper strip. Robert van der Kroft, the most frequent artist across the run, brought his clean, modern style to these special editions, offering a fresh yet faithful take on the beloved characters' slapstick adventures. Though a brief series, it stands as a notable, late-era tribute to one of the Netherlands' most iconic comic duos.
