Sideshow Comics

About the series
In the late 1980s, Pan Graphics published Sideshow Comics, a seven-issue series that served as a showcase for emerging British talent, most notably writer Si Spencer and artists Euan Smith and Phil Winslade. Each issue offered a rotating anthology of offbeat, often darkly humorous stories, blending science fiction, horror, and surrealism with a distinctly underground sensibility. Though short-lived, the series captured a transitional moment in UK comics, bridging the energy of independent zines with the polished storytelling that would define the British invasion of American comics in the following decade.
