少女クラブ [Shojo Club]

A landmark of Japan's post-war publishing boom, 少女クラブ (Shojo Club) was a pioneering monthly comic magazine from Kōdansha that ran for 200 issues from 1946 to 1962. It helped define the shōjo genre for a generation, serializing formative works by artists like 手塚治虫 (Osamu Tezuka) and 牧美也子 (Miyako Maki) during the medium's explosive growth. Its blend of serialized manga, illustrated stories, and reader-contributed art made it a cultural touchstone for young girls in the Shōwa era.
