Shockrockets

Kurt Busiek and Stuart Immonen teamed up for this short-lived, two-issue series from the now-defunct Free Books imprint. Shockrockets launched in 2005 with a premise of high-octane aerial combat and larger-than-life heroes, blending Busiek's knack for character-driven storytelling with Immonen's dynamic, polished artwork. Though the series barely got off the ground, it remains a fascinating glimpse of what could have been from two top-tier talents.
