About the series
A modern revival of the classic EC Comics horror anthology, Shiver SuspenStories (2024–present) from Oni Press reimagines the genre with a contemporary sensibility. Written by Hunter Gorinson and illustrated by Valeria Burzo, the series channels the chilling, twist-filled storytelling of its 1950s predecessor while forging its own macabre identity. Though only one issue in, it marks a deliberate, stylish return to the kind of standalone terror tales that defined an era of comics.
