Shazam!

In the mid-1970s, Norwegian readers got their own slice of the Marvel Family's adventures with Shazam!, a 21-issue series published by Illustrerte Klassikere / Williams Forlag. Drawing primarily from the classic Fawcett Comics stories and the early 1970s DC revival, the series featured scripts by Otto Binder, Denny O'Neil, and Elliot Maggin, with art from Kurt Schaffenberger and original Captain Marvel artist C. C. Beck. This reprint series brought the whimsical, all-ages magic of Shazam, Billy Batson, and their fellow champions to a new international audience, preserving the charm of the Golden Age for a generation of fans.
