About the series
In the early 1970s, Williams Förlags AB revived the original Captain Marvel adventures for a Swedish audience with Shazam!, a 20-issue series that reprinted classic tales from the Golden Age. Anchored by the iconic art of C. C. Beck and Pete Costanza, alongside scripts from Otto Binder and Elliot S! Maggin, this run preserved the wholesome, whimsical spirit of the World's Mightiest Mortal for a new generation of readers. A vital bridge between eras, it kept the original Fawcett Comics legacy alive before DC's own revival of the character.
