Shaman King

A short-lived but distinctive Norwegian adaptation of Hiroyuki Takei’s manga, Shaman King (2007–2008) from Bladkompaniet / Schibsted condensed the sprawling spirit-fighting saga into eight issues. Published during the peak of the manga’s international popularity, this series is notable for bringing the story of Yoh Asakura and his quest to become the Shaman King to a Nordic audience in a localized comic format. While brief, it represents a key moment in the mid-2000s wave of European manga translations.
