About the series
In the near-future landscape of Image Comics’ SFSX (Safe Sex), a world where the government has criminalized all forms of sexual expression, a group of sex workers and activists form an underground resistance to reclaim bodily autonomy. Launched in 2019 and running for seven issues, the series is most closely associated with writer Tina Horn and co-writer/artist Alejandra Gutierrez, whose energetic, punk-infused visuals bring a defiant sense of joy and urgency to the story. With additional art from Laura Chow Reeve, this unflinching, politically charged comic matters for its bold, intersectional exploration of desire, consent, and the fight for liberation in a repressive society.
