Seven Soldiers: The Bulleteer

About the series
Grant Morrison and artist Yanick Paquette launched this four-issue DC miniseries in 2006 as a key thread within Morrison’s sprawling Seven Soldiers event. It reimagines a classic DC archetype through Alix Harrower, a schoolteacher who becomes the bulletproof, high-tech Bulleteer after a bizarre accident with her husband’s experimental suit. The story pits her against the monstrous, serial-killing Vigilante, Greg Sanders, in a darkly satirical take on superhero identity and body image. Paquette’s sleek, kinetic art brings a modern, cinematic gloss to Morrison’s dense, deconstructive plotting.
