Serie Pisellino

From 1933 to 1941, the Italian publisher Nerbini released eleven issues of Serie Pisellino, a comic series shaped primarily by the creative duo Buriko and Orfeo Toppi, who handled both writing and art. A product of its era, this short-lived but distinctive series offers a glimpse into the early Italian comic landscape, where local talents like Toppi and Buriko crafted stories that would contribute to the foundation of the country's sequential art tradition.
