Serena

In 2023, the Danish publisher Lauwert launched Serena, a comic adaptation of Ron Rash's novel, scripted by Anne-Caroline Pandolfo and Natasja van Loon with art by Terkel Risbjerg. The series reimagines the story of a Depression-era Appalachian woman whose fierce independence and family loyalties lead to a devastating confrontation.
