In the late 1990s, French publisher Vents d'Ouest launched Selen présente, a creator-driven anthology series that ran for 30 issues from 1996 to 2003. Showcasing the talents of Italian artists and writers like Luca Tarlazzi, Giuseppe Manunta, Stefano Mazzotti, and Bernardo Muñoz, the series offered a rotating slate of stylish, often darkly fantastical European comics.
