Scoubidou

A short-lived but colorful French series from Éditions des Remparts, Scoubidou (1966–1967) ran for just seven issues, featuring the adventures of a mischievous, scoubidou-braid-wielding hero in a lighthearted, whimsical tone. Though little-known today, it captures the playful pop-art energy of mid-1960s European comics, with its title character's distinctive craft-toy accessory reflecting the era's fad for plastic lanyard weaving.
