Sci-Fu

In 2018, Oni Press launched Sci-Fu, a hip-hop-infused science fiction comic series that blends vinyl DJ culture with intergalactic battles. Created by writer/artist Yehudi Mercado, the series follows a young DJ who must use his turntable skills to save the world from an alien invasion, emphasizing rhythm and creativity over brute force. Though its initial run was brief, Sci-Fu stands out for its vibrant, kinetic art and its unique celebration of music and diversity in a genre-bending adventure.
