From 1991 to 1995, Schwermetall Spezial was a German-language anthology series published by Kunst der Comics / Alpha, offering a curated mix of science fiction and fantasy comics across nine issues. The series drew heavily on European talent, with regular contributions from writers Christophe Gibelin, Gerd Benz, and Jacky Goupil, paired with the distinctive artistry of Bruce Jensen, Claire Wendling, and Crisse.
