From 2020 onward, Komics Initiative presents Scars, a taut, single-issue comic by writer Warren Ellis and artist Jacen Burrows. The story examines the psychological and physical marks left by a life of violence, with Burrows’ stark, detailed art grounding Ellis’s character-driven, noir-tinged narrative.
