Balac and Søren Vinterberg's script, paired with Yslaire's atmospheric art, launched this French-language series from Interpresse in 1987. A single, self-contained issue, Sambre presents a concentrated narrative, its scope defined by the collaborative vision of its creators. While the series has not continued beyond this initial release, it stands as a distinct, fully-realized work from that era.
