In Salamandre (2022–present, Dark Horse), writer-artist I. N. J. Culbard launches a singular, self-contained comic that blends historical intrigue with the supernatural. Set in a richly atmospheric 17th-century France, the story follows a mysterious figure navigating alchemy, conspiracy, and the shadowy edges of reason. This debut issue, the series' only installment so far, showcases Culbard’s signature clean linework and measured storytelling, marking a distinctive entry in his body of work.
