In the late 1960s, Brazilian publisher Gráfica Editora Penteado Ltda. (GEP) launched Salão de Barbeiro, a 29-issue comic series that brought the classic barbershop humor of the popular radio and TV character to the printed page. Created by the comedic team behind the original sketch, the series translated the barbershop's lively, often absurd banter into a visual medium, capturing a distinctly Brazilian slice of life with its witty, conversational tone.
