In the early 2010s, French publisher Dargaud brought a fresh vision to the classic Saint Seiya saga with this 22-issue comic series. Reimagining the epic of the Bronze Knights and their celestial armor, this run is most closely associated with writer Nicolas Jarry and artist Carlos Gómez, who translated the grand battles for the goddess Athena into a dynamic, European bande dessinée style. Spanning 2011 to 2015, it stands as a distinctive, non-Japanese adaptation that introduced the mythos to a new Francophone audience.
