Sad Sack

During its brief 1955–1956 run from Magazine Management, Sad Sack brought the hapless, ever-suffering GI from the pages of Army Laughs and Camp Comics into his own 15-issue series. Chronicling the misadventures of a perpetually downtrodden private, each issue delivered a steady stream of military mishaps and deadpan humor. Though it didn't last long, the series captured a distinct, post-war comedic voice, making it a curious footnote for fans of classic gag comics and military satire.
