Don McGregor, Dean Mullaney, and a trio of artists including Billy Graham, José Ortiz, and Jane Aruns brought this pioneering Eclipse series to life from 1982 to 1985. Over 14 issues, Sabre followed the adventures of its title character in a dystopian future, helping to establish Eclipse Comics as a major independent publisher during the early days of the direct market. It stands as an early example of a creator-owned, full-color comic from the era's burgeoning alternative scene.
