S1ngle

From 2001 to 2008, the Dutch publisher De Harmonie released seven issues of S1ngle, a tartly observant comic series about the romantic and social misadventures of a young woman navigating life in Amsterdam. Written primarily by Hanco Kolk and Peter de Wit, with Kolk handling the crisp, expressive art, the series became a beloved chronicle of modern singledom. Its dry humor and relatable, character-driven vignettes made it a standout in Dutch comics, capturing the era's urban dating culture with warmth and wit.
