Rust

Co-created by writer Bill Harrison and artist Tony Akins, Rust is a gritty 13-issue series originally published by Now Comics from 1987 to 1988. Set in a post-apocalyptic future, it follows a young man named Rust who discovers he has a hidden connection to a powerful alien artifact, thrusting him into a violent conflict between scavengers, mutants, and corporate overlords. The series is notable for its grim, realistic art and its early exploration of cyberpunk themes in independent comics, featuring a rotating team of writers including Fred Schiller and Steve Miller alongside artists like George Booker and Cygnet Ash.
