Royal Roy

Marvel · 1985–1986 · 6 issues
About the series

A short-lived but charming Marvel series from the mid-1980s, Royal Roy follows the adventures of a young, spoiled prince who is sent to live with an ordinary American family to learn about real life. With a lighthearted, comedic tone, the book was primarily written by Mort Gerber, Stan Kay, and Angelo DeCesare, and brought to life through the warm, expressive artwork of Warren Kremer, best known for his work on Harvey Comics. Though it only ran for six issues, it stands out as a playful, kid-focused oddity in Marvel's otherwise superhero-heavy lineup of the era.
