Roy Carson

A gritty, post-war British adventure strip, Roy Carson ran for eight issues from T. V. Boardman between 1948 and 1954. The series is most closely associated with the McLoughlin brothers—writer Colin and artist Denis—who defined its hard-boiled, shadowy visual style. It stands as a notable early example of British comics’ shift toward tougher, more cinematic crime and espionage storytelling.
