Roundup

Derby Publishing’s Roundup (1948–1949) was a short-lived, four-issue Western comic that brought the dusty trails and six-gun action of the frontier to the newsstand. The series is most consistently associated with artist Ernie Schroeder, whose lively, expressive style defined the book’s look across its entire run. While brief, Roundup offers a snapshot of the post-war Western comic boom, capturing the genre’s straightforward appeal before the medium’s more complex era took hold.
