Manuele Fior’s Rosso oltremare is a single-issue graphic novel from Coconino Press, published in 2006 and still in print. A moody, introspective work, it follows a young Italian architect adrift in a near-future Berlin, exploring themes of displacement and emotional isolation through Fior’s luminous, watercolor-infused art. This debut established Fior as a distinctive European voice, blending delicate linework with a subtle science-fiction atmosphere.
