Romeo Brown

A short-lived but visually striking two-issue series from French publisher Futuropolis, Romeo Brown (1983–1984) offered a moody, adult-oriented take on the private eye genre, rendered with a distinctive European comics sensibility. Though its run was brief, the series is remembered for its atmospheric art and its place in the early-80s wave of stylish, creator-driven crime comics from the continent.
