Rocky

Bladkompaniet (later Schibsted) published Rocky as a 32-issue Norwegian comic series from 2003 to 2006, collecting the daily newspaper strip by Martin Kellerman. The series follows a sardonic, struggling cartoonist and his circle of friends navigating love, work, and the absurdities of urban life in Oslo. Kellerman’s deadpan, minimalist art and sharply observed humor made it a defining voice in early 2000s Scandinavian comics, with occasional contributions from creators like Eivor Vindenes, Jason, Iselin Røsjø Evensen, and Lise Myhre. Its honest, often melancholic slice-of-life approach resonated widely, cementing Rocky as a beloved staple of Norwegian pop culture.
