About the series
In 1985, DC Comics released this two-issue miniseries that repurposed character designs from the Japanese anime Macross and Southern Cross into an original American superhero story, written by Andrew Helfer with art by Judith Hunt and Mike Manley. Rather than adapting the Robotech saga directly, it recast those mecha and alien concepts into a new narrative about a team of armored heroes. Though brief, it stands as a curious early DC attempt to merge anime aesthetics with the house style of the era.
