Rise

From 2016 onward, Double Take's Rise launched as a single-issue series, part of the publisher's interconnected zombie-horror universe. The story follows a young woman who, after a devastating car accident, awakens in a hospital to find the world around her descending into chaos, with the dead inexplicably rising. Though brief, this debut issue set the stage for a larger narrative experiment, with Double Take using a shared continuity across multiple titles to explore the outbreak from different perspectives.
