Ripclaw

From 1995 onward, Image Comics published this three-issue series centered on the cybernetically enhanced mercenary Ripclaw, a character whose razor-sharp claws and volatile nature set him apart in the early days of the publisher's creator-owned universe. Written primarily by Eric Silvestri, Brandon Peterson, and David Wohl, with Peterson and Billy Tan Mung Khoy handling the gritty, detailed artwork, the story pits Ripclaw against the lethal operative Killjoy while exploring his strained connection to Robert Bearclaw. A foundational entry in the Top Cow stable, this brief but impactful run helped establish the tone for the dark, action-driven superheroics that defined the era.
