About the series
In 1967 and 1968, Dargaud published just two issues of Ringo, a short-lived Western comic series from writer Jacques Acar and artist William Vance. The strip follows a lone cowboy in the Old West, with Vance’s clean, expressive linework bringing the dusty frontier to life. Though brief, the series is a notable early collaboration between two Belgian talents, with Vance later gaining fame for XIII and Bruno Brazil.
