Rhanes of Terror

In the late 1990s, Buffalo Nickel published the four-issue miniseries Rhanes of Terror, a dark fantasy/horror comic that pitted a group of modern-day adventurers against an ancient, malevolent Egyptian sorceress. Written by John B. Wells with art by Rick Burchett, the series is remembered for its moody, atmospheric storytelling and its blend of supernatural thrills with archaeological mystery. Though short-lived, it remains a cult favorite among fans of 1990s independent horror comics.
