Reeks Register

In this brief two-issue series from the Belgian publisher Den Gulden Engel, writer Jacques Acar and artist Claude Auclair crafted a tense, atmospheric thriller set in a crumbling urban environment. Kris De Saeger joined Acar on scripting duties to tell a claustrophobic story of a mysterious register that draws its users into a web of paranoia and violence. Though short-lived, Reeks Register stands as a striking example of mid-1980s European crime comics, showcasing Auclair's detailed, moody artwork and the collaborators' lean, noir-tinged storytelling.
