About the series
Redcoat, launched by Image in 2025, follows a veteran of the American Revolution who receives a magical red coat granting him immortality, forcing him to navigate the centuries as an immortal soldier. Written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Bryan Hitch, this series recontextualizes American history through a supernatural lens. With only two issues so far, it's an intriguing blend of historical fiction and superhero action from two of the industry's most celebrated creators.
