Red Wolf

In 1972, Marvel launched this short-lived, nine-issue Western series starring Red Wolf, the publisher's first Native American superhero to headline his own book. Written primarily by Roy Thomas, Gardner Fox, and Gary Friedrich, with artwork by Syd Shores and Dick Ayers, the series blended traditional frontier adventure with Marvel's signature superhero sensibilities. Though brief, it stands as a notable attempt to expand the genre and bring a unique, underrepresented perspective to the Bronze Age of comics.
