In the late 1980s, French publisher J'ai lu released a short-lived, two-issue series featuring the violent, punk-inspired android Ranxerox. Created by the legendary Italian duo of writer Stefano Tamburini and artist Tanino Liberatore, the character brought a raw, dystopian energy to European comics, blending dark humor with Liberatore's hyper-detailed, visceral artwork. Though brief, this series stands as a cult artifact of its era, showcasing the transgressive, boundary-pushing storytelling that defined the alternative comics scene of the time.
