R.O.D: Read or Dream

In the mid-2000s, Viz Media brought over this four-issue manga miniseries from the creators behind the R.O.D. franchise. Written by Hideyuki Kurata and JN Productions with art by Ran Ayanaga, it follows the adventures of the Paper Sisters—a trio of young women in Hong Kong who wield paper as a weapon and run a detective agency. A lighter, character-driven spin-off from the main Read or Die saga, it showcases Ayanaga's energetic linework and the series' signature blend of literary references and action.
