R.I.P.D.

From 2003 to 2013, Dark Horse Comics published R.I.P.D., a supernatural crime series created by writer Peter M. Lenkov and artist Lucas Marangon. The premise follows a police force of deceased officers who return from the afterlife to hunt down souls escaping their judgment on Earth. With its gritty, darkly humorous take on the buddy-cop genre, the original one-shot issue established the core concept that later inspired a feature film adaptation.
