Psychonaut

In the mid-1990s, Fantagraphics published two issues of Psychonaut, a surreal, autobiographical comic by Serbian creator Aleksandar Zograf. Through its dreamlike narratives and expressive, black-and-white art, the series explores the inner landscape of its creator’s mind during a period of personal and political turmoil in the Balkans. A distinctive and intimate work, it stands as a key example of Zograf’s singular voice in alternative comics.
