About the series
From 1981 to 1982, Look Mom, Comics! published just two issues of Psycho Comics, a raw, underground-style anthology that captured the early energy of its creators. Mort Todd wrote both issues, while the artwork was handled by a young Daniel Clowes and Rick Altergott, giving an early glimpse of the offbeat, satirical voices that would define alternative comics in the decades to come. Though brief, the series stands as a scrappy artifact of the pre-Eightball era, showcasing Clowes' nascent, twisted sensibility alongside Altergott's gritty cartooning.
