Project Patron

In 2021, AfterShock launched Project Patron, a five-issue miniseries that reimagines the superhero origin as a corporate-backed, PR-engineered phenomenon. Written by Cullen Bunn with art by Sergio Dávila, the story follows a young woman who becomes the latest in a line of costumed champions, only to discover the dark secrets behind the organization that created her. This series offers a sharp, modern take on the costumed hero mythos, exploring how power and identity are shaped by the very systems meant to protect them.
