Prinz Eisenherz

From 1959 to 1968, the German newspaper Welt am Sonnabend serialized Prinz Eisenherz (the German-language version of Hal Foster's Prince Valiant), collecting the classic newspaper strip into 12 issues. This series brought Foster's lavishly illustrated, Arthurian-era adventures—renowned for their detailed, painterly style and narrative scope—to a German audience, making it a key artifact of mid-century European comics publishing.
